XPZ Grey

Arguably The Best All-Round MTB On The Market

The XPZ's very dedicated 4-bar-linkage provides a near-perfect virtual pivot location and a virtually vertical rear wheel axle swinging path.  These words may sound familiar (or even boring) on other's 4-bar bikes but in reality very few or none of them ever reached this sweetspot of outstanding pedaling-efficiency and exceptional suspension performance.  And now Xtensioni even lifts the bar to a newer level with our all new XPZ all-round MTB.  Joined by Xtension's new cutting-edge designs and technologies, the new XPZ is not only shaved by over 1.3lbs (600g!) from its predecessor, but gained over 37% on the overall strength at the same time.  The magical combination of a much lighter weight and a much stronger strength results in a much faster speed that seldom or never happened on a long-travel all-round bike in its class before.  Never a long-travel all-round MTB could be this light, agile, active and fast but still owns the respectable strength and the decent suspension performance needed for the most demanding challenges on the trail.  Only the new XPZ can make it, both up and down.

Frame HydroLite Alumium
Travel 6.5 inch
Color Gray, White
Size S, M, L

Headtube ready for 1.5" Tapered Steerer
The XPZ's headtube is ready for the 1.5" tapered steerer from the near future.  The new-age headtube not only looks modern but provides a more precise&confident handling in the front.  Conventional fork of 1.125" steerer is compatible, of course.

HydroLite Top-tube & Down-tube
The top tube and the down tube on the new XPZ made by Xtension's latest HydroLite Forming Technology deliver a very clean and modern look.  Those very noticeable "folding lines" around the conjunction areas successfully replace the traditional gussets and enhance the strength needed in these critical areas, without adding a single gram or ugly welding.

Dynamic 3D-Strut Rockerarm
Lightweight is nonsense if the strength is not on par.  XPZ's new 3D-Strut rockerarm is the best proof of Xtension's "Maximum-Strength-Minimum-Strut" philosophy.  The new-age curved 3D-strut rockerarm not only saves a lot of grams but perfectly connects the  rear linkage to the front frame, and largely improves the rear suspension's response.

Compact Linkage
XPZ's new 4-bar-linkage looks like its predecessor but totally reinvented.  The compacted structure successfully enhances the overall strength; the lower virtual pivot location largely improves the rear wheel's response, reduces the "pull-back" feel of the rear wheel and lowers the interference to the suspension under hard braking.  The newly lowered center of gravity provides more confidences on the extreme terrains.

Reinforced BB Area
The BB area is where the power is from on a bike.  Xtension dedicatedly puts the heavily manipulated down tube, the curved 3D shock-mount gusset, and the beefier main pivot axle together, to make this "Power Pyramid" area extraordinarily strong and rigid enough to convert the rider's every pedaling power into the speed to propel the bike forward.  The overall handling becomes more confident, clear and connected as well.

Massive Chainstay Yoke
The chainstay yoke behind the BB is not easily visible but one of the most critical parts that build the power of a bike.  The asymmetric design of XPZ's new chainstay yoke provides extra strength and faster suspension response, whereas the hollow design saves some  more grams on weight.

New 3D Dropout
The new 3D drop-out ends of the XPZ remain the 3D design but get much beefier.  Combining the new widened seat stays and the new internal bearings, the ground response is now connected to the rider's control more directly and smoothly without any delay or flex.

Hi, I emailed You a few months back regarding the frame. I finally got it from a friend of Mine who brings in the frame locally. I just have a question to ask. Can I fit a normal tapered internal headset unlike the one that came stock with the frame (top: internal, bottom: threadless)? Example: TOKEN TK035AR. Thanks Bro. =)
xtensionbike replied on 2010/08/09 14:02
Hello Syaikhul:
Sorry~We do not know the spec of Token TK035R , Please take a look on our Q&A , if the spec is same as ours that should be no problem.
